yesterday we had the parents of 2 of our students come in and talk to us about Hawaiian culture. As an anthropologist, I enjoy learning about other cultures. I loved the lecture about Hawaiian culture because it highlighted cross cultural differences and similarities between Hawaiian and Native American cultures. Although these cultures are in different locations/areas of the world, we share the same traditions, customs and beliefs. For instance, in Native American culture, Elders are highly respected they are the heart of our community, it is the same in Hawaiian culture. This just goes to show that although we may be isolated from each other in terms of location we are all still one in the same, for we are all connected through our traditions, customs and beliefs. Thank you for your lecture Mr Chang! ❤

We walked to the farmers market today. Our original intention was to buy food for the next day but that didn’t work out hahahaha… I went and I tried every sample in the Farmer’s Market whther it was nastey or not. Good thing everything was delicious I loved It!!! Except for the apple juice Vanessa bought… gross… then I went into the store and I saw TUNA in a box! Like what the heck, that’s like soup in a box it’s just so weird!!!

Last night was so fun and relaxing with the salsa dance teacher. She was pretty great and a inspirational speaker. It’s not going to be easy to follow the DREAM, but the journey will be a great story to tell. I’ll turn a MESS into a MESSAGE<3 Inspire other people to do what they want to do. It’s going to be TMTH. Oh and me and jessica are epic at the DOOKIE BOOTIE.

The Farmer’s Market was interesting. Tried freshly squeezed orange juice and apple juice. Haha! It was REALLY good. 😉 I liked it. 😀 Haha! Scott brought over his beautiful Husky, Mison, and he was really friendly and he had just…. beautiful blue eyes. I love Huskys. 🙂 Bulldogs are my favorite. 😉 Anyways, at the Farmer’s Market in Pomona was really small n’ nice. 🙂 The fruit there was amazing!

yesterday was the day my parents came to teach our class, when I came to see them I felt like I wanted to cry but I didn’t 😉 lol and when night came I finally made spam musubi and most of the people ate it and later on I saved some for lunch tomorrow 🙂 I think it made Kapele happy :3

i made the second biggest mistake any teenager can make.. leaving their ipods with some one like your mom who doesn’t really know how it works. i found out today that she “accidentally” erased all of my songs >:[ and now she cant get them back on.   and i had all my songs on there. 😛 and I’m like “mom, i told you not to do erase anything”..”well i wanned new songs your song are getting old.” so that’s what i get for leaving valuable stuff behind ….moms. what can we do. i still love her:)

I MISS HOME!! well i miss my dirt bike and my dog… only cause my brother was telling me how they went out in the hills and just thrashed the bikes (got them all dirty in mud) and going on night hikes and my dog Ziggy misses me.. and i miss her terribly:(   anyone else feel the same?? what do you miss??

the trip to the college was very interesting. when we went into the lab i actually got scared. cause everywhere we looked there was a dead body and it felt really weird being around them. but never in my life i would ever think i would hold a heart lungs and a brain now i get to go home bragging about it:) the statues were pretty weird to only cause they look so life like. i felt a little creep-ed out cause every time we saw one that movie Manikin  kept popping in my head. but other than that today was a really fun day:) and i got my rock star!!!
