SOmething MIssing
Im missing something…. my pipeline friends, it’s been a week since we left pitzer.. Museums
yesterday we went to 2 museums 😛 We’ve met some pretty cool people there, I cant remember their names lol. I realized that my navajo side are famous for their carpets (I now know some history about my tribe) I hope my parent’s read this :3, after the museum we went to a bigger one which had western history and Indian, there were so many baskets that were made and some were navajo. soo mom and dad if you read this our navajo side is famous for their carpets lol. hope to see you XD
A good day
yesterday was the day my parents came to teach our class, when I came to see them I felt like I wanted to cry but I didn’t 😉 lol and when night came I finally made spam musubi and most of the people ate it and later on I saved some for lunch tomorrow 🙂 I think it made Kapele happy :3
Mascots
today in class Mr.Scott showed us a video about people overly using native cultures, We’ve noticed that they think their respecting our culture but in reality they were being racist to us. I have no threat against these people but I know that it is dishonorable. In the clip a married native woman named Charlene Teters came to the University of Illinois as a graduate, she stayed for awhile and never been to a game, so she took her children to a Illinois basketball game their mascot came as a white man in a Indian costume and dancing gymnastics, she and her children were very offended by this event. she started to revolt against the University but she never succeeded so she traveled to other universities that overly use Native culture and revolted against them as well, while she was continuing on this revolt she gained a couple of natives too. This clip really inspired me, I really want to know more about my Navaho, Apachi, and my Hawaiian side (I don’t know if I spelled it right lol) :3

Sovereignty in Hawaii
Today in class we’ve seen a short clip of Sovereignty and native americans weren’t allowed to govern themselves and so forth. so why can Indians make treaties and not the federal government? That I don’t know lol just watch the vid :)>-
Sharing and Indian Politics
Today we were about to share a class with other people, Mr. Deron Marquez taught us about sovereignty… well I don’t know much about that term but it was showed in many ways (which I didn’t get as much), I seen a short clip that Indians weren’t allowed to govern themselves and so forth.
