Hey Everyone! I know i haven’t posted in a while so this post should fix that 🙂 so I have my summer chalk full of stuff, I got accepted into UCR’s native pipeline and I am also attending Cal Poly’s Native Youth Leadership Program XD I also have to go to summer school but that’s ok, for some reason I do much better in a summer school environment than in regular school time : / maybe its the smaller classes? anyway I’ve noticed all the exciting stuff that’s going to be in the pipeline this year, I can’t wait to see everyone! so i’ll see you all soon, keep in touch!

Schedule Sneak Peak
The events and field trips that Scott has lined up for this summer’s Pipeline Program are pretty cool. I know you haven’t seen the schedule yet so I’m just gonna post some highlights for you to enjoy and be excited over now.
Some highlights:
A Visit to NBC & Universal Studios
NBC Studio is known for being the home of the long-running The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. Universal Studios, the oldest movie studio in the U.S., is one of the six major movie studios. Some famous movies/shows that came from Universal are: Jurassic Park, the Flinstones & the Bourne Series.

I know some people were mentioning that it was hard to find information about this summer’s Pipeline Program, so I am including a Poster and the Student Application form below. Remember, if you know somebody who wants to apply, let them know that its not too late. Encourage them to fill out an application and turn it in to Scott asap.

Introduction!
Hi Everyone!
I would like to introduce myself. My name is Elizabeth Shulterbrandt and I just graduated from Scripps College with a major in Political Studies. My thesis was analyzing the White House Tribal Nations Conferences and their results/impact on both federally recognized and non-recognized tribes. I am originally from the U.S. Virgin Islands but live in Atlanta, Georgia for now. I am mixed, of Black and White ancestry.
This summer, I am a Student Coordinator, helping Scott with the Pipeline Program, as well as interning with Chief Cerda of the Costanoan Rumsen Carmel Ohlone Tribe in Pomona. I will be posting a lot of announcements and the like on here and on the Facebook group. (Scott is really busy getting this summer’s program together for you. Its gonna be awesome!)
I am excited and grateful to be given the opportunity to work with everyone, especially on Tongva land, and hope to see you soon. If you want to ask me questions about anything, feel free to do so!

Summer Checklist:
1) Summer school….I messed up but thats okay cause I’m making it up…
2) Got a job( Yeay twirling signs is funn)
3) Joined Colorguard (Whoop Whoop taking intense band for my free class)
4) Planned pool summer patries at the new house I’m moving to…(change is good)
5) Possible 2weeks of outrageous amazment at Pitzer(food included)
6) Take a train to Ventura and spend quality time with my favorite Grandmother (Mary Larson) and visit the Catalina Islands and pretend that we’re in Hawaii, reality is soo overrated.
Summer is HERE!!! So lets rock this out Pitzer Family <33
Cannot wait to see all of you guys again, with hopes held high and memories flowing back while making room for more adventures:
