The Pipeline is a connection.

It has now been a week since the Pipeline ended and that special spiritual vibe is slowly fading away.. i am distracted by non-indigenous people and their American way of thinking, and i find it difficult to connect……The Pipeline was more than just a program, it was something very special to me. It was an amazing spiritual connection to the culture, our ancestors, and the Earth…. i need my Pipeline family..  i really miss all of you guys, the students, the staff, the Pitzer campus, and Gina and Jacky, and even the dinning hall and the workers. As i resume life in the real world, i can’t help but to think how easy it is to get sucked into a life without meaning.. but i will stay strong, for my people, for the culture, for my ancestors, and for you Pipeline student activists, because i will never forget how smart and intelligent you are.. and i know you will definitely make a difference.. don’t ever forget about the Pipeline…  thank you Scott, …  Tlazocamatli Ometeot. Nican-Tlaca Tlahui….

1st get together: College Fair “Take Action, Go to College”

Hello everyone,
I hope you are all doing well and have settled back to your routines. It is hard to believe that it has only been less than a week since we last saw each other and I truly miss you all. Just to keep our momentum going we are now in the planning stages of our first get together set for Saturday, September 17. We will be leaving from Pitzer at 9:00 AM and traveling to the City of Commerce to participate in their College Fair. We will be returning to Pitzer no later than 5:00 PM as I would like to take a side trip to the Griffith Observatory (http://www.griffithobs.org/). Please pass this along to the others in our pipeline family and please confirm you will be able to go. Stay tune for more information.

Peace and many blessings to my pipeline family,

Well, I’m back in Newark. For those of you who don’t know that’s up in Northern California (just below Fremont). I must say that I was very surprised when I came back up to high 60’s low 70’s weather, while it may not be great for swimming, it’s perfect for the running I have to do every morning for Cross Country Practice. I miss everyone from the program already, and many times I often recall the voices of laughter that we all once shared.

The weather up here is nice.
